We unboxed the 1528 Monitor 8 and Stands for the first time — here’s what that moment is really like, straight from our team.
I still remember the moment I received the 1528 Monitor 8 together with the 1528 Stands for the very first time. Even before opening the boxes, I knew this was something special.
The Delivery Makes an Impression
The boxes are big—much bigger than you might expect from just looking at the dimensions on paper. When DHL drops them off at your door, it really hits you: these are serious, substantial products. They are heavy, solid, and unapologetically large.
Just seeing the size of the packaging—and later the fully assembled speaker on its stand—gives you a sense of scale that photos simply don’t convey. For reference, I’m 176 cm tall, and these speakers command real physical presence.
Unboxing Is an Experience
Unboxing them is an experience in itself, and I strongly recommend being two people for the job. The safest and easiest way is to stand the box upright and gently slide the speaker out by gripping the protective EPE base.
It glides out surprisingly smoothly sideways, allowing you to remove the top protection before mounting the speaker onto the 1528 Stand using the included screws. When it’s time to turn the speaker upright, having a second person is essential—the weight is significant, and you want to protect both yourself and the speaker during the process.

Once everything was set up, I couldn’t resist—I had to listen right away. And from the very first note, it was clear: these speakers are something extraordinary.
The soundstage is huge and immersive, with a level of clarity, precision, and control that immediately stands out. The presentation is effortlessly dynamic, yet refined and detailed. Instruments and vocals are rendered with stunning realism, and there’s a sense of scale and authority that is simply breathtaking. It’s the kind of performance that makes you forget about the equipment and just get lost in the music.
