Thanks, I am considering just that arrangement.

Luis

that sounds so familiar to me, my daughter is an interior designer, so I always check with her before making any decisions.
still tweaking my purchase list from Arendal but getting close. LCR will be 1723 monitors, a 1723 1S sub, and the rest I will either wait or add some heights to the front to make the front sounstage fully Arendal.

I was referring to the second image of the tower in the background with the height sitting on top. I assume they are both 1961, My old surrounds are dipoles Your space is beautiful

Good to hear, since in my pre-flood setup I was a bit sloppy with my side surrounds. Curious if you like the height speakers shown in the image? Arendal heights are pricey, I will reuse my Klipsch heights for now.

Yes, I knew I was being lazy. I think I am going to go in two stages now, frontsage first and then surrounds and heights. My theater is in an old house, plaster walls that make running cables very problematic. Thanks for the illustrations they are inspiring

Speaking of 1961 surrounds, I am putting together an atmos system and was going to go with the 1961 height modules but I guess they don’t really make a nice fit atop the bookshelf speakers, different foot print, more designed to go on the wall which is a problem in my space. Might be rethinking my purchase plans

Good to hear, I will be mixing the 1723 LCR’s with the 1961 surrounds. Not exactly what you are recommending but hopefully it will work out. Thanks for your advice

Luis, thanks great advice

I knew I was cheating out on the subs but was not considering 4, but you make great points.

what are your feelings about keeping the surrounds and heights all Arendal?

at the moment I only have the budget to go Arendal as LCR and maybe 1 Arendal sub. The 1723 subs are quite big and heavy and getting them into my space will be a challenge. Thanks so much for your input

Yes, thinking about the 1961 Arendal or 2 small svs 1000 subs. I am guessing that might not be enough?
