My friend bought the 1723 center and it is awesome center, blend very well with his paradigm signature left and right despite the difference.

He sit 4.2 meter from the front wall

 

My concern is divided to two issues :

1. regarding to the  distance I sit from the front wall, it is not big.

2. Choosing the big center 1723 and 1723s floor stands for left and right.

I know they should blend, same tweeter and etc..

I would like to read from experience point of view.

I have also a problem with the focal center, it is sound very localized and tiny. Hope in the next few months to replace it (maybe the L+R will also replaced at the same time).

As regarding to the sub, I got the 1723 2s and really liked it both movies and music.

What the dimensions of the room?

I got too the focal aria 926 and matching center.

I hope in the next year I will replace those and complete the arendal setup.

The room take a high percentage of what you hear.

I agree with @Jean-Michel Gauthier

It does not care if it stereo or part of multi channel music/movies .

The room dimensions as referring to room moods, the furniture in the room and all of the content in the room (SBIR) influence the way we hear.

The purpose of the room correction is to reduce interruption of all the above.

I agree with @lukas, all the room correction need to give you control to change its automatic settings.

I agree, it is more expensive.

The peq  in the yamaha and also on my 2s subwoofer was great, I used it wirh rew eq.

On the other hand I think the anthem is next level.

I have been a fan boy of yamaha for almost 14 years
Unfortunately there was not much improve over the years in the room calibration of yamaha known as “yapo”.
The room calibration of the anthem, known as “arc gensis” is much more advanced and superior to the “ypao”, it got phase correction which according to my ears improve the integration with the sub.

The gui of the “arc gensis” is also a good improvent over the “ypao”.
