Hey Luke, truly admire you for your extra effort in getting the best sound possible for your situation. I’m going to suggest a book that is designed to be used with a download of specific sounds and music that I found invaluable in doing a basic 2 channel setup for new or old (me)audiophiles. It’s called THE STEREO by Paul McGowan.Be sure and get the download or disc if you have a playback method. I promise you that you’ll be very glad you did. I was hit and miss on my setup and this will keep you from wasting time and for me, I discovered the magic of 2 channel hifi! You will know it when you get it just right!

I think they sound good off axis. What is the distance between your speakers and what distance are you from each speaker?

I agree with the suggestion of meticulously setting up your system. One thing you might do is to get your speakers out from the wall a bit more and start with the old equilateral triangle between your listening position and speakers until you find the magical sweet spot. This sometimes can take hours and position changes of inches can make a huge difference.Be sure you measure things exactly and use some tape to mark your positions of the 3 spots. This costs nothing but your time and effort but is the most important part of your setup.Good luck!!

I love LISTENING to music period. I love it when I am completely sober, and when I have had a drink or whatever. I also know that most people are more “background “ listeners than really paying attention to the music as the artist intended.Unfortunately the people that really want to stop talking and listen are in the minority. That’s why I usually listen by myself. I think that the more people that really hear music on a great system with speakers like Arendal provides are more likely to hear/listen to music because of the pleasure it provides. Thanks for your comment,Jay

Definitely 90/10 Music to movies. I just got Tidal plus yesterday and the sound quality blew me away at their top level setting. I am just now trying to navigate the app and I know already (AT&T let me know)that I am almost out of data lol.Any suggestions on how to download etc on Tidal plus would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,Jay

I’m all in on the satin black and they’re finished like fine jewelry. I strongly agree with the non-reflective approach. I have had piano black before and it looks great but I love the black satin finish Arendal uses!

I totally agree with you Arkmann.Gene needs to get a bigger platform for his always great reviews. He’s got a 3 part series with Anthony Grimaldi which is very informative and excellent.

Thanks Neil for the kind words. I couldn’t agree with you more on the Arendal, they are truly a game changer. I am actually just playing the LCR with the 2v while I wait for the installation guy, and I can’t believe that they will be even better with REW and maybe Dirac Live.BTW have you done either of those systems and what was your experience?
