I do not associate a glossy look with value tbh. Personally, Satin all the way, looks more refined to me.

Also, people using projectors will most likely agree ^^

I’m with you all the way.   100% on satin.

I just wish the 1961 came in satin.

Absolutely, the black satin from 1723 is beautiful. But I think the 1961 matte felt more “robust” and would stand against time better.

I only know the white 1961 and have the feeling the black probably would even reflect less than the 1723 satin.

I still have some reflections on the sides of the black front speakers when using my projector.

Satin because gloss reflects too much.

I like both,  but If I had to chose I go for the satin

I’m all in on the satin black and they’re finished like fine jewelry. I strongly agree with the non-reflective approach. I have had piano black before and it looks great but I love the black satin finish Arendal uses!

I really like the gloss white 1723 S towers and 1723 Center I have . Friggin beautiful. And they contrast really nicely with the color scheme in the living room. I read something somewhere that said Arendal is phasing out the gloss white?

While one could argue satin might look more refined, there’s no question gloss is way more sexy!  :-)
