I have recently received my 1723 towers,1723 center, and 1723 2v. I used them to replace a top Klipsch lcr and 2 twelve inch subs.FYI,my dedicated room is 11’wide,14’ long,with 11’ceiling. I have not done REW yet and have basically put the lcr where the previous speakers were and the 2v sub on the front right. I have a platform dolly and 15’ sub cables along with REW equipment on order. I forgot to mention that my listening/home theater is now 5.1.4.My initial impression was very positive.Excellent sound quality right out of the box.After experimenting with different positioning, I finally got the 2v sub very close.The room seemed to become much larger and the detail,sound stage,and clarity is something I have never heard before! It was almost like standing in the studio. I will be doing REW soon and maybe Dirac Live (I don’t know how much better it can get).Welcome any suggestions/comments that any of you might have.Thanks,Jay

First off, congrats Jay. Your going to love the Arendals. I only use 2.1 channel setup so can’t help you out with your arrangement. Have fun experimenting. I know when I received my Arendals, I was blown away by how much better my system sounded.

Great to hear James! I think you are spot on with how much difference a well-integrated subwoofer can actually add to the listening experience – beyond what one would think of initially, namely added deep bass response.

Thanks Neil for the kind words. I couldn’t agree with you more on the Arendal,they are truly a game changer. I am actually just playing the LCR with the 2v while I wait for the installation guy, and I can’t believe that they will be even better with REW and maybe Dirac Live.BTW have you done either of those systems and what was your experience?

I totally agree with you Arkmann.Gene needs to get a bigger platform for his always great reviews. He’s got a 3 part series with Anthony Grimaldi which is very informative and excellent.
