I think the 1723 S Towers would be more than enough. I have the same size room and went with the 1723 Monitor S as the subs will handle most of the bass.  I believe the recommendation from Arendal is 12 inches from the wall for a ported speaker and no minimum distance for sealed. So you could plug the ports if you feel the speakers would stick out too much.

Indeed Jan. I’d love to see what the next step up from the 2S would look like.

if you guys wanted a quicker and cheaper route to market, you could always look at a Print on Demand solution like Redbubble, Amazon, etc. Not sure on the quality differences, but something to think about.

Oh man, I totally missed this and have my side surrounds flipped. The Dirac measurements look great though as is. @thomasglsound-no, do you think Dirac is correcting this or should I switch them? If I do switch them, do you think I can get away without re-running Dirac?

Great idea, would love some Arendal merch to wear!

Based on some of the more technical reviews out there from sites like Audioholics, the Arendal subs seem to have better group delay than SVS, which some people would say might explain Thomas’ initial comment about them having tighter transient response.

I’d be very curious about an Arendal desktop speaker. Basically a smaller version of the 1961 bookshelf with 4 inch drivers. It’s a pretty slim market out there for desktop speakers that have a small form factor and are actually good.

How about these ideas? There could be a smaller 1961 and larger 1723 option. Would be great if they had back boxes too.

1. Something for in-wall surrounds equivalent to the bookshelves, maybe with adjustable pivoting tweeters?

2. Another in-wall with angled baffle for wides?

3. In-ceiling with angled baffle and also adjustable angled tweeter?

+1 for this. I’m planning on going with the 1961 heights mounted on ceiling as an alternative
