Hey group good morning. I found these mounts to work GREAT for the Monitors if you want to do a nice wall mount with them. It gets them away from the wall and has the ability to angle up and down – left to right a bit for toe in.

These are neat and not very expensive. May only be available in the US.

Hi Ramon,

Good afternoon. Are you looking to install the triaxial speakers on the ceilings or on the walls? If you are installing on the walls, do you have in-ceiling speakers. This would influence on suggested answers for placement for sure.

Let us know!

Hi Laurence,

Those are some good questions. A good starting point as Rene pointed out above is 80Hz. Depending on how your room is treated and the normal room response (modes) and the type of subwoofers you use will ultimately decide where you will end up. The Towers, if run with no subwoofers, can be fully ported and can be run as “Large” with High Pass set around 60 Hz will have those sounding really nice for 2-channel.

Running everything sealed, 80 Hz is the THX standard.

Have fun trying different setups and remember ultimately, its what combo sound best to you in your space. You can use response curves for reference, the tailoring to your ear is the most important thing here. The linear response and off-axis response of the 1723 series just makes it easier to EQ and tailor to your taste.

Have a good one!

Hi Demetrius,

I would most certainly say the 1723 series will be an improvement over the Definitive 8000 and 9000 series in 2 ways:

1. The sound will be very linear and less harsh (metal hybrid softdown – deftech) vs (poli-softdome – Arendal). Def Tech can be very bright and needs quite a bit of eq to tame. The 1723 is less bright and has a very good / consistent off axis response that is easy to EQ.

2. Also the Sound profile will be quite different as the Def Tech speakers are bi-polar and reflect sound off the front wall to make the sound stage bigger. This can cause issues if you don’t have the best room environment. The 1723 Speakers are direct firing and have the waveguide-based tweeter, so you won’t have as hard of a time getting them placed perfectly. This will sound more life-like and natural.

For your other question: The Outlaw 7140 is rated at 225 watts per channel at 4ohms. That will be plenty of power, especially since it is dedicated power, to getting the 1723s to sound plenty loud in your space. There shouldn’t be any issues getting to reference with that kind of power.

Hope this helps!

Hey Ford,

We don’t have showrooms, however, we do have Ambassadors who showcase our products and perform listening demos. For instance, I live in the Louisville KY Metro area. I offer demonstrations in my dedicated home theater and other listening spaces. All ambassadors can do this for folks that wish to schedule a listening. The network is growing and it should be rather easy to get scheduled. We can get you in touch with an ambassador for a demo. Just email us at sales@arendalsound.com.

Have an awesome day!

Heu Shlomi,

Good day to you. No, it won’t affect the measurement as the sub-bass is an Omni directional emitting wave that moves away from the subwoofer in a spherical manner. It doesn’t matter which way you orientate the sub.

Have awesome day!
