Hello, if you don’t mind please update the thread once you get your (2) 1v’s. I have the svs 16 ultra as well & am considering going Arendal. I would love to hear your thoughts, comparisons & feedback.

Thanks

Wow you have had a totally different experience from me. I have an Anthem receiver with emotiva amp running & definitive technology bp9040 towers with cs9080 center. Just from swapping the speakers to The 1723 Monitors & Center I heard a night & day difference between Ben without re-running room correction, using the one from the original speakers. I do like the Definitive Technology speakers & their sound no knock on them but sound was fuller & the imaging was better with placement of voices & instruments. The Def Tech offered a wider soundstage than the 1723 but overall the 1723 beats the Definitive Technology & the 1723 are about 2 or 300 more per speaker. They are definitely worth the price difference. Those infinity speakers must be awesome if you can’t hear a difference, I’d work with the positioning of the 1723 & re-run room correction & if you still can’t tell the difference Arendal has the best return policy I have seen. I’m all for saving money no sense in paying a large amount of money for minimal difference.

My gaming time has decreased a lot but need to pick it back up. Have Ps5 & playing Genshin Impact on it, soundtrack for this game & sound effects are phenomenal for free to play.
Have Xbox series X Halo infinite is in the que to play have been hearing really good things about it as far as sound design. Have been playing Ori & the Willow of the Wisp & the Gears or war collection.
Oh and playing on the Arendal 1723 Monitors & Center.

I agree with Ford, I am running an anthem Mrx-1120 with an Emotiva XPA DR3 on the 1723 L & R with Definitive Technology Center. 1723 Center is coming in two days :). I have an XPA-7 on the rest of the speakers. When 1st going from receiver to amp I was not impressed with the sound I thought I was going to hear night & day difference in sound or at least volume. I did not. I have reran the ARC room correction several times & I like the way my system sounds but Im not sure it it was worth the price. I will one day hook the receiver back up to the speakers to see if I can hear the difference or any loss of detail. Oh forgot to mention I did hear a night & day difference in my Atmos height speakers going from the Anthem’s power to the Emotiva’s power.

Hi Kristoffer,

I am running an Anthem MRX 1120 with 2 Emotiva Amps. An XPA-DR3 & XPA-7. The 3ch amp powers 1723 monitors. Looking forward to getting the 1723 Center to complete The LCR.
