Good stuff to listen to 🎵

Hey guys, right now I am listening to Rammstein’s new album called “Zeit” on my 1723 S speakers (sounds great ☺️).

From a “song-perspective” it unfortunately is a mediocre album, but from a production standpoint it is quite interesting.

While not super-audiophile in nature, they used 3D-Sound as mentioned in Apple Music’s album description.

Flake’s synth sounds really seem to come from behind or appear directly in your ear, also the guitar sound is PHat.

I’ve been listening to the new Dire Straits Live box set with all of their live albums including an unreleased show from the late 70s.  I know the Straits give nightmares to some based on the overexposure of Brothers in Arms but the dynamics in their music is amazing.  I Love Mark Knopfler’s guitar playing and the space he gives to all of his arrangements.

I’ve been listening to a lot of Santana lately.  The percussion is amazing and I really appreciate how it sounds on my 1723 towers.  You can pick out any album.  I just picked up a used copy of Santana III the Legacy edition which has a concert recording as a bonus.  Great stuff.

The end of the last cut on Emerson Lake and Palmer’s Brain Salad Surgery, Karn Evil 9, has a synthesizer that goes back and forth between the right and Left speakers faster and faster and louder and louder.  A great way to test your speaker setup.  Tests and confirms how wide is the soundstage and the dynamics.  A interesting way to finish my listening on Saint Patrick’s Day in the US.  The 1723 towers sound awesome!

Listen to American Gypsy and I love You Much Too Much.  The drums and percussion and rhythm really comes alive.
