How loud do you guys usually listen to?

I would love to listen at reference levels, but since I live in a tight-spaced neighborhood as well as with a downstairs neighbor, that’s not possible. I usually listen at -35dB to -25dB on my receiver for movies/Tv and around -20dB for music if I’m listening to music on the louder size.

So, what level do you guys normally listen at?

Mostly between -25 or -30 db on the 1961 monitors in a small room.

I wonder what the 1723S monitor in sealed mode will do better on that volume in a medium/small room size.

I think the 1723s and 1723 line will shine in bigger rooms on louder volume levels.

In a stand alone house, so I can let it rip. Watching a movie now, peaking around 90-95 db for the explosions and stuff. Subs giving you that nice thump in the chest.  Averaging around 75. For music i try to stay around 80 db since I’d like to continue listening to music :)

Also with movies the question is are you measuring around the dialogue, the score, or the LFE?

I am now using a Hegel H190 and it is almost always between 48 to 55 on the volume scale. I personally don’t like music extremely loud and 55 is just on the threshold of my max enjoyment.

Usually around 60dBs, but when I listen to electronic music I can’t help myself and it goes at about 95dBs. I am still amazed how loud a 33w into 8ohms amplifier class A amplifier can get. 95dBs would be at around 10 o’clock on the volume potentiometer.
