Congrats @Jimmy Lindgren! Never realized how small that streamer is… how’s it sound compared to what’s built into your AVR? Personally, I’m not a fan of HEOS, so I’m running a Raspberry Pi as a Roon endpoint and stream via Roon.
Well… how’s that separate Marantz driving your 1961 speakers? Suspense is killing me… lol

I can’t say that I hear any difference with the ifi streamer, I actually bought it just to avoid the Heos app and I’m super happy with it.
The power amp makes a difference. The reason I bought it was because when watching to movies, I found that my 7015 could sometimes shrink the sound image in action scenes.
I think it became clearest when you sit and watch an entire film and everything sounds good, but when an action scene comes, the sound image shrinks.
It never sounded bad with just the 7015 it’s a super nice receiver but thought it could lose a little focus. Have only seen 3 movies with this new power amp .
And I can say right away that there has now been a difference, I think the sound image is perfect throughout the film.
What I noticed the first day when I sat listening to music was that after about 30-40 minutes it really started to sound good. So it clearly feels like the amp delivers better when it is heated. Will try some more.
Wow looks stunning! Considering a power amp myself although I have no complaints whatsoever about the sound my Yamaha RX-A2080 receiver produces 😁
Interesting to hear that once warmed up things sounded better, I’ve found the same with my tube gear, never thought to allow warm up time with solid state gear. Glad that the amp worked out for you @Jimmy Lindgren… it surely looks great next to the AVR.
