I don’t know. I bought subwoofers from you like two years ago and the topic came up then as well. This already is not a “quick” fix from my point of view. And no solution after that time and only a statement “will be coming someday” only justifying this with your “high standards” is just very disappointing to me.

Hi Sebastian.

Let me put it another way. Although we have not completely rejected the idea, in the foreseeable future we will only be offering black fabric grills.

Do as you please. As I was saying before: Either I will find a working solution for a reasonable price within the testing period or I probably will not upgrade/change my 7 speakers to Arendal. My gut feeling is telling me that there could be several potential customers with a living room setup and/or not blind wife at home who feel the same way when looking at your speakers. It is just really unfortunate that you think about aesthetics this way, that’s all.

Hey guys. Take it easy. Its nothing to get angry about. Here you can at least speak to the company and have ideas. Don’t waste that on threats. Of course everyone can think what they will. But keep it pleasant and nice.

Ok, nuff said.

Thx

No worries, no one is getting angry:)

Aesthetics are very subjective and individual. There will always be heated discussions about it and there will not be a solution that makes everyone happy.

We definitely hear you guys, but we will of course always do it the Arendal way even if it takes some time.

Hey all

Although I haven’t seen any of the speakers in person, I have seen it mentioned by others that the black grilles on the white speakers don’t look great?

From photos I do think the white speakers look very nice with out grilles, but again I think speakers in any colour always look better with out a grille. :)

A little off topic but does pertain to grills though.  I’d much rather prefer an “inset” subwoofer cover that would fit flush to the sides of the sub.  I’m sure this could be done since they are magnetic.

While I do own a couple of Arendal subs, I do have to admit, the grills are my least favorite thing about them as they are not flush with the sidewalls. Kind of just like the grills were an afterthought.  Yes, I could leave them off, but between dust and a pet or to, what little protection they do add by being on, is a must.

How about Arendal make a prototype and send it my way!! I’d be happy to try it out.

Thanks for the open discussion love the passion! I have black to match my hi fi components which are all along the same wall.  A little off topic but how about matching the speaker colors to the component colors.  Most components come in black or silver.  Is silver or gray an option?

Wouldnt it be great with an options for white speakers with white drives

I would buy white grills. Or pay extra as an option. Even if it had a minor affect on sound quality. Especially if Arendal published a graph showing how the grills affected the output or frequency response.
