As the Social & Communities Manager, you will cultivate an enthusiastic, loyal community and amplify Arendal Sound’s presence across social media, online communities, and influencer networks to inspire trust, grow engagement, and drive direct-to-consumer success.

Why This Role Matters 

In today’s connected world, social media and online communities are where brands make their mark. The Social & Communities Manager will play a critical role in shaping Arendal Sound’s narrative, engaging with our customers, and amplifying our reach across platforms. You’ll be the voice of our brand, the bridge to our audience, and a key driver of growth in our direct-to-consumer business model. 

What You’ll Do 

Social Media Strategy & Management 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to grow brand awareness, engagement, and reach across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.). 
  • Create, schedule, and optimize content that’s consistent with our brand voice and resonates with our audience. 
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, adjusting strategies to maximize engagement. 

Community Building & Advocacy 

  • Manage and grow the Arendal Sound Club, fostering a vibrant hub for audiophiles and enthusiasts. 
  • Engage with online communities on platforms like Reddit, Facebook groups, and product forums to encourage meaningful conversations and brand loyalty. 
  • Moderate discussions, respond to inquiries, and build authentic relationships with community members. 

Influencer & YouTube Reviewer Relations 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with influencers and YouTube reviewers in the audio space. 
  • Coordinate product shipments, timelines, and collaborations to ensure impactful reviews and content. 
  • Analyze influencer campaign performance to track metrics like reach, engagement, and leads generated. 

Customer Advocacy 

  • Act as the voice of our customers internally, providing valuable insights and feedback to product and marketing teams. 
  • Collaborate on campaigns, product launches, and promotions to ensure our community feels informed and valued. 

What You Bring 

Required Skills & Experience 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in social media and community management, ideally in tech, audio, or consumer electronics. 
  • Strong understanding of platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Reddit, and YouTube. 
  • Proven ability to build and nurture online communities, with experience moderating discussions and fostering engagement. 
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, especially with influencers and content creators. 
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using tools like Google Analytics, Hootsuite, or Sprout Social. 
  • Creativity and storytelling skills to craft engaging campaigns and posts. 
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple projects, platforms, and partnerships simultaneously. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Passion for audio products and home theater technology. 
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing and YouTube content creation. 
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and digital marketing tactics. 
  • Experience managing forums or private community hubs like the Arendal Sound Club
