Great quality & fantastic!Aaguilar
After the break in period I really noticed a better performance over my old towers which I truly loved. These felt more enveloping and the sound was wider. The bass is awesome and the more I listened, the more I liked them. These are gorgeous and rock solid. Build quality is wonderful. After setting them up I knew I wasn’t parting with them. Now I’m onward to getting the rest of their lineup.Tracy Fritzler
It’s too soon to render a final verdict the on the performance of these speakers. But my impressions after ten days are very favorable. First of all, build quality is simply the best I’ve ever owned. Closest competition would be a pair of HSU CCB-8’s I had for a short while. The black satin paint is the business, for sure. Overall fit and finish is superb. I would like a somewhat heavier spike kit, even if it was optional. I also wonder if a grille cloth option could be made available. I have always really liked naked metal grilles like Canton and a/d/s/ used to do. But that’s just me. Performance: I’m used to compression HF drivers, so subjectively, to me the highs sound a bit soft or rounded. That’s not really meant as a criticism; more of a subjective distinction. On the other hand, the highs are also smoother and less fatiguing. Mids are somewhat more laid back than I’m used to, but I’ve noticed this is more varied from recording to recording than it was with my JBL’s or certainly than it was from the Klipsch models I’ve had previously (Cornwall IV, La Scala II and klipschorns). Bass is the most extended and powerful I’ve ever had. Almost too much of a good thing but I’m still running the ports wide open, so I can’t really complain. Imaging is great for a floorstander and it is very consistent around the room, as is the frequency balance. Dynamics are excellent and I am most impressed by how the sound remains effortless as the volume goes up. No harshness or strain. Wonderful! I was only recently made aware of Arendal Sound, through the Audioholics web site and I believe, James Larson’s review of the 1723 THX Monitors. Everything they said has proved spot-on. So thanks to them and thanks to the Arendal team for a stunningly high value and high performance line of loudspeakers!James McCall

Just finished setting up the towers and I must say I was pretty nervous, because I have only read reviews, not listened to them before buying, but WOW! I am so impressed with everything, build quality, looks, the finish but foremost the sound! They are truly amazing, and I have only played for an hour, so I cannot wait for the 50 hours to pass🤩 Sounds amazing on my Marantz SR8015! Highly recomend Arendal Speakers!Morten Hennyng-Heckmann
Highly impressive product!. Arendal 1723 thx tower pair fulfills all my expectations. For the past 12yrs, i have scrutized many branded speakers with different quality levels. At Certain point of time, found that THX Certified speakers r powerful and best suit for optimum sound and gives cinematic experience. Last year bought THX Certified LCR from familiar brand but my quest for the best FR/FL didn't end. Yes!. Finally, saw a footage of Arendal and owns set of tower pair for my long awaited needs. Most of them reviewed that it's very heavy and I would say that it is not a heavy, it's the quality!. The 4×8inch woofers r producing best optimum sound with high bass. The way of power handling technic is good. Thanks Arendal for inventing such a great product.Javedhussain Gesuhussain
Terje Kristoffersen Lunden
The build quality , finish and overall looks of the speakers are very very impressive and there were no flaws , nicks or wavy paint anywhere I could find. I chose the gloss white 1723 towers for 2 channel stereo listening without a sub.money
Great build quality but the packaging was destroyed in shipping and some repairs had to be made to the finish. It looks as if a forklift or something puncture through the cardboard and foam.customer

All our 1723 speakers are Certified by the very strict testing protocols of THX Ultra where each speaker must pass a set of 400 measurements. The THX Certification does not mean it is a dedicated home speaker, but rather a guarantee of tight consistency within well-established acoustic parameters. THX Certification is as much about music, as for movies.
The engineers at THX Labs utilize a proprietary scientific testing methodology to ensure the highest audio fidelity possible. All 1723 speakers passed the THX Ultra Certification without any change to the products, meaning our standards already exceed THX Ultra level out of the box!
3 vents 38-20kHz (+/-3dB)
2 vents 34-20KHz (+/-3dB)
Frequency response does not reflect maximum output but shows its true response in a anechoic chamber. Typically you will see an elevated response in the bass response below 40Hz in room due to room gain, which can add around 6dB pr. octave under 40Hz depending on the size of your room.
The charts display frequency response measured at different angles, the sum of which is referred to as power response. Much scientific research has been undertaken on this subject and a linear power response has proven a substantial impact on the overall sound, because the frequency response is more even in all directions. This means an Arendal Sound speaker will be more tolerant of differences in room shape, size, construction and materials.
The impedance charts are electrical measurements of the loudspeaker’s resistance vs frequency.
