Good stuff to listen to đŸŽ”

Hey guys, right now I am listening to Rammstein’s new album called “Zeit” on my 1723 S speakers (sounds great â˜ș).

From a “song-perspective” it unfortunately is a mediocre album, but from a production standpoint it is quite interesting.

While not super-audiophile in nature, they used 3D-Sound as mentioned in Apple Music’s album description.

Flake’s synth sounds really seem to come from behind or appear directly in your ear, also the guitar sound is PHat.

Songs I can recommend are:

1. Angst

2. Zick Zack

3. Armee der Tristen

4. Meine TrÀnen

5. Giftig

Do you guys have any opinion on Rammstein’s new album?

While listening, a good desktop media player is AIMP. I downloaded a skin that’s an old school Marantz Model 5030 cassette player. Everything works on it, the tape counter, the cassette player spins, even the VU meters work! it takes a little tweaking to get it to do everything the way you want, but I think it’s pretty cool

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Also I almost forgot, I made this desktop background if anybody wants it. I personally have the white gloss towers but went with the black for contrast .Keeping with the polar bear theme

Im using Apple Music with Marantz SR7015 in pre amp mode to a Marantz MM8003. Works like a charm

Hi Kurt

I’m using a class A/B, Hegel H190.  I prefer a neutral sounding amplifier that does not emphasize any frequency range but is faithful to the recording.     Class D for me had too much base in relation to the mids and highs, felt overdone to me. This is of course my opinion. Hegel amps have extreme bass driver control and I’m sold on their “feed forward” design. They remain neutral (not meaning thin or lacking) throughout the frequency range. I have never owned a true 2 channel tube amp so can’t offer any opinions on that. I’ve heard them and liked the warm sound.

Kurt a Denon 3805 which was top of the line when I bought it in 2007.  Definitely noticed an improvement in headroom and ability to sound better at lower volumes with the Rotel separates.

Michael glad you liked it.  It’s on my list of favorites on Qobuz.  Most people don’t know that Frampton was a guitar prodigy and was playing in top bands when he was only 16.

Kurt sounds like a good setup (pun intended).  Hegel has a great reputation and positive reviews online.

Michael I found a Version of the album on Qobuz with a killer cover of Do you feel like we do by Warren Haynes.  Worth a listen.
