Good stuff to listen to đŸŽ”

Hey guys, right now I am listening to Rammstein’s new album called “Zeit” on my 1723 S speakers (sounds great â˜ș).

From a “song-perspective” it unfortunately is a mediocre album, but from a production standpoint it is quite interesting.

While not super-audiophile in nature, they used 3D-Sound as mentioned in Apple Music’s album description.

Flake’s synth sounds really seem to come from behind or appear directly in your ear, also the guitar sound is PHat.

Songs I can recommend are:

1. Angst

2. Zick Zack

3. Armee der Tristen

4. Meine TrÀnen

5. Giftig

Do you guys have any opinion on Rammstein’s new album?

@Gunnar, that is a nice song. Nice guitar work. Of course, I had to listen on Amazon, as I don’t have Quboz ;) Sounds great on my 1723 S Towers. My wife’s giant furball Yuki appears to like it too. The 1723 Towers are not the only Norwegian import in the house, as my understanding is, the Maine Coon is descended from a Norwegian Forest cat.

@Arkmann, while interesting, I’m a bit of a music purist sometimes. Nice cover, but I prefer the originals energy. I mean, it’s like hearing Led Zeppelin cover “Born In the USA”. Interesting but not the same :) Most of the time I don’t even like live concert recordings of any band. Except Adel at Royal Albert Hall. Now THAT’s a great recording and video. I was lucky enough to see her live in Oregon in I think 2011. Amazing (Also INXS’s Live Baby Live concert video, which has been remastered in 4K HDR TrueHD)

Thanks for listening and sharing your thoughts.  I Like originals too but enjoy some covers including this one.  I do enjoy some live albums.  Mostly older ones like Live at Leeds and Band of Gypsies.  One of the reasons I went with the 1723 towers in my 2 channel system is how good live CDs and streaming live albums sounded through them.

I have met up with friends to test some gear and I came across good music that was new to me.

Very good recordings. You need to give it a try.

The new Peter Gabriel album i/o.  Has a bright and a dark mix for each of the 12 cuts so 24 all together.  The bass and drums sound excellent on both versions.

Hi Arkmann

There’s some good songs on that album. I also liked his older stuff, “sledgehammer”, “steam” , “big time” etc.

I remember the “sledgehamner” video on the VH1 channel when it was released in 1986, YIKES! I’m getting old. He has some great music and some very strange music as well. A great artist nonetheless.

Oh did not see that Peter Gabriel released a new album. Will give it a listen.

I loved the Sledgehammer music video when I was a kid:)

Love Tony Levin’s bass, the drums and percussion and the quality of the recordings on his albums.  One of the reasons I chose Arendals.  The bass is critical in most of the music I listen to.

I also enjoy him playing the Chapman Stick.
