Good stuff to listen to 🎵

Hey guys, right now I am listening to Rammstein’s new album called “Zeit” on my 1723 S speakers (sounds great ☺️).

From a “song-perspective” it unfortunately is a mediocre album, but from a production standpoint it is quite interesting.

While not super-audiophile in nature, they used 3D-Sound as mentioned in Apple Music’s album description.

Flake’s synth sounds really seem to come from behind or appear directly in your ear, also the guitar sound is PHat.

Songs I can recommend are:

1. Angst

2. Zick Zack

3. Armee der Tristen

4. Meine Tränen

5. Giftig

Do you guys have any opinion on Rammstein’s new album?

Arkmann, check out Markus Miller, “Laid Black” album. A very good bassist as well.

Also, check out Gary B.B. Coleman – The Sky is Crying, great base, nice blues.

That just reminded me. Peter Gabriel has some great DVDs and Blu-rays.
One of my all-time favorites is Growing Up Live.

@lukas

Thank you for reminding me about this fantastic artist! Truly a legend still going strong!

One of my old favorites for sure, and I believe he was not available on streaming platforms for many years.

This track is perhaps one of my personal favorites: Don’t Give Up from the So -album.

Together with Kate Bush, lovely!

Just something to keep in mind. If you can’t find music on streaming, most of it (older) can still be found on CD. I know the audio industry acts like CD’s don’t sound great and an “old format” (true of many older recordings) but that’s a bunch of baloney. I would put many of the ones in my collection up against supposed high resolution download. Let’s face it, the audio industry although great, still needs to come up with ways to generate sales and come up with new ways to make money. Not bashing downloading music just don’t forget the CD is still a great and useful format. They say that vinyl is outselling CD. Have you heard how horrible much of the new vinyl sounds? When you take an originally recorded digital format and slap it onto vinyl it doesn’t sound very good. Again, companies just capitalizing but don’t give a rats hind end about quality. There are of course exceptions. Just don’t count out the silver/gold disc. Enjoy whatever you choose, that’s what this is all about.

@Neil

I actually buy CDs from time to time, as some things you cannot get in streaming services, or on other formats.
You can still rip it and play it from your network, that is what I do.

I was in Japan recently and was surprised at how big CDs are still over there. In Germany where I live, the CD sections are basically non-existent, so you have to buy online or used.

Neil thanks for the recommendation.  Nice version.  Reminds me of Stevie Ray Vaughn RIP.
