Please bring back the 1723 stands

I really wish Arendal would bring back the 1723 monitor stands. Not many companies offer stands that are made for their large monitor speakers .. actually after Arendal the only other company I know of is Triad Speakers for their Gold in room LCR. It makes for such a cleaner look. It really was a shame when they discontinued them. Buying them used would be an option if I was in the EU. Still sad about missing out of them.

Man I just want a pair of satin black ones. I knew I should have bought them a few years ago.

even second hand no one was interested in buying the stands and I had to basically give them away with the speakers

Wish I could find a pair used but I don’t think anyone in the US has them. Not sure how much shipping would be if I could find someone in the EU that was willing to ship them.

Hello Community,

The engineering team is extremely busy and won’t have time to share the plan for the speaker stands. However, they shared the dimensions and tilt:
40D x 27,5W x 51,56H(front) cm. Tilt:2,5 degrees.

Hopefully, this will help some of you to build some nice DIY stands!

How does them being busy stop you from posting them ? You could just say that the higher ups at Arendal don’t want the plans out there which is fine.

Unfortunately, I was thinking the same thing. I can engineer my own and probably will. It’s going to be a necessity in a few months. Love my 1723 Monitors, no complaints, just now going to finally have a audio room and want to make them floor standers. Is it possible you can just tell us what the paint is, type and color? That would help us going in the right direction. Building not so hard, matching paint not as easy. Thank you

Personally as a DIYer and woodworker, if I were going to custom make these stands, I’d be using the actual 1723 Monitor THX speaker to start my design.  Remember the speakers enclosure is made of HDF, so if you want a matching finish for the paint(which you will need to closely match), you’ll want to stick with HDF for the enclosure material.  Internal bracing will be necessary to keep the outer look clean and probably the use of dado joints to maintain cabinet strength.

Hi Laurence,

Agree with you totally, your spot on. I do have the 1723 Monitors. The Kreg Jig system has been in my arsenal for years as a woodworker and it creates very tight joints, especially when adding glue. There are of course other great methods as well. Your mentioning of the paint matching is why I’m hoping Arendal will let us have this info. I won’t ask them for more info, just this as it would be very helpful. They may fear people will duplicate stands for resale, this is not my intention. I barely have time for my own projects. I am proud, in a good way, of my Arendal’s and would really like to do them further justice with nice stands.

Hi Corey,

They don’t have shareable plans and they would need to work on them before sharing them. It’s not something I can do myself and they can’t prioritize this either.

Have a lovely day.
