Streaming service for music?
which streaming service do you use to play music and what quality?
I Run Tidal hifi plus myself, if apple music worked lossless with wifi, I would have probably run that instead.

I wasn’t a fan of the Heos app… been using Roon for the last 5+ years, so I simply stayed with it.
I think you have a Cinema 50 like I do. HEOS built in and easily controlled via app on iOS or android. I can play all my Amazon playlists through it in high res. Not familiar with Roon, but I know it’s not free like HEOS is. I ain’t cheap, but damn, I’m already paying for tons of stuff and it adds up ;)
Ha…. yes, you’re correct, I have a Cinema 50… almost a year old now… extremely happy with my purchase!! Same goes for my 1961 speakers and subs… extremely happy!!
I hear ya… it certainly adds up and does so, very quickly. I purchased Roon years ago, I don’t recall what I paid for the lifetime license, but it was certainly not as expensive as it is today. I run the Roon Core as a docker on my NAS as it’s on 24/7 and my FLAC files are stored there. My phone, tablet, or computer, are used to run the Roon app, it connects to the Core and merely acts as a “remote” control… simply to navigate the Roon interface. The Roon Core streams the music to Roon endpoints, in my HT room, an ethernet connected Raspberry Pi with a digital hat connected to my Cinema 50 via a SPDIF coax cable. Another Pi, connects to my Schiit Lyr 3 headphone amp; however, via USB cable. I also use Roon to control my Sonos speakers throughout the house. Since the Cinema 50 came way after I was already using Roon, I stuck with it. Certainly nothing wrong with Heos, I tried the the app, but simply favored Roon.
yah, you’re deep in the ecosystem wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense to change after all that investment
