What receivers/amplifiers do you use to drive you Arendal setups?

I’m curious, What receiver/preamp/source and/or amplifiers do you use with your Arendal speakers? Have you tested brands that worked better than others? I’m curious to know what you guys are using!

I’m using a Yamaha RX-A2060 to power a pair of 1961 Monitors and a 1723 Sub 1v and it sounds great! I might add a dedicated amplifier down the line if I get something bigger, but I definitely don’t feel like I’m missing much with my current setup.

I’m new here, having a hard time to get the best out of my 1732 center- I’m having a hard timing finding the right receiver and what else I need.. TIA

Just getting started, but I opted for an Anthem AVM 70 8K paired with a Musical Fidelity M6x 250.5 to run the the LCR (1723 Monitors & 1723 Center), surrounds (1723 Surrounds) and two 1723 1V subs.

Since I am still setting up, I have only had the chance to test it our with the LCR – just hung the surrounds yesterday – (and on a different note was worried the single bracket wouldn’t be enough since they are beasts, it was) – and the 1723 1v’s are on the way.

Initial impressions are that the Anthem – Musical Fidelity – Arendal combo is a fantastic match

Anyone running a Parasound JC5 (or pair of JC1’s) with 1723 floor standing? I am in the Parasound family of amps, so will stay with it. The more I listen, the better I get at listening.  Just thought to get an opinion while I’m waiting to buy and try.

Thx!

Just added a Yamaha A8A to power 1723 S Towers, 1723 S Center, and a 7.1.4 Atmos set-up.  The added Arendal fronts with in-ceiling Atmos speakers is a game changer.  The dynamics of a full 11 channel receiver with AURO-3D sound stage is a big step up from the Yamaha RX-A2070 I had been using.

I’m using the Denon X6500H to power my 9 of the 13 speakers(4 – 6 inch two-way ceiling speakers Yamaha NSIC800WH)(4 Cerwin Vega bookshelf surrounds-SM-5M)(1 Cerwin Vega center-SL45C) atmos speaker setup with two 500-watt powered SVS PB-2000 subs and using the QSC RMX1450a power amp (400-watt @ 4 ohms) to push the 1723’s.

Hi guys, I finally pulled the trigger on the Hegel H190. First impressions WOW! Musical! Broad soundstage, clean separation, fast, tight and powerfull bass, fantastic mids, airy treble, micro details… A real musical treat with my Arendal 1723 Tower S’s! Norway 12 points 🇳🇴

Kurt congratulations!  I’ve read good reviews on the Hegel.  Glad to hear it’s working well for you paired with the 1723 towers.  Enjoy!

Thanks Arkmann! It’s a real beast of an amplifier. Just trying to figure out if I should connect my sub 1V to the Hegel or keep it connected to my Yamaha RX-A2080 receiver. Listening to Limit to your Love at the moment via Qobuz and I think I don’t really need more bass for 2-channel listening 🤔

That’s great.  You know you have try listening with the sub.  If it’s too much you can always turn it down.  Once I started listening to music with a sub or subs I was hooked on the sound.  It’s 2.2 listening for me whenever possible from now on.
