What receivers/amplifiers do you use to drive you Arendal setups?

I’m curious, What receiver/preamp/source and/or amplifiers do you use with your Arendal speakers? Have you tested brands that worked better than others? I’m curious to know what you guys are using!

I’m using a Yamaha RX-A2060 to power a pair of 1961 Monitors and a 1723 Sub 1v and it sounds great! I might add a dedicated amplifier down the line if I get something bigger, but I definitely don’t feel like I’m missing much with my current setup.

I just finished demoing(not keeping it) an ATI AT527NC connected to the bed layer speakers in my setup, 1723 Towers, 1723 Center and 1723 Bookshelf S (x4).  Was not impressed.  To me class D thus far sounds mechanical, stiff and unnatural, though it is improving.  It’s fine for immersive channels that get light use and subwoofers, but just hasn’t reached the realness of class AB.

I exclusively use Emotiva products to do the amplifying.  An RMC-1 processor an XPA-7 Gen3 for the bed channels and PA-1 (class D) for the height channels.  Emotiva’s neutral approach to their electronics is what draws me to their products.  I’ve also been a long time moderator on their private forum community, the Lounge.

Has anyone tried the Hegel H190 with the Arendal 1723 Monitors? This seems like a good integrated amp.

Any experience at all with the Hegel H190?

I have a Denon 6700H which is powering my 1723 surround S back surround speakers and 4 1961 Height speakers. And then an Anthem MCA 525 (1st gen) powering the bed layer which is 1723 Monitor S, Center S and Surround S.

Works fairly well, but never satisfied :p

Receiver with Dirac is tempting, or doing separates with a processor and power amps, but then I would need two more, or one with 6 channels.

Also have two 1961 Subwoofer 1V.
