Good stuff to listen to 🎵

Hey guys, right now I am listening to Rammstein’s new album called “Zeit” on my 1723 S speakers (sounds great ☺️).

From a “song-perspective” it unfortunately is a mediocre album, but from a production standpoint it is quite interesting.

While not super-audiophile in nature, they used 3D-Sound as mentioned in Apple Music’s album description.

Flake’s synth sounds really seem to come from behind or appear directly in your ear, also the guitar sound is PHat.

Songs I can recommend are:

1. Angst

2. Zick Zack

3. Armee der Tristen

4. Meine Tränen

5. Giftig

Do you guys have any opinion on Rammstein’s new album?

Yeah, old CD Player will not be better than what you can get currently. It is more of a nostalgic and haptic thing. The Sony is beautifully made. Lasers and the mechanics are wear items, so they need to be serviced. Does not matter what brand or how high-end.

In my past job, we had super expensive gear and I did all the comparisons. You are paying more for build quality than for sound differences at this point. Very good DACs are super inexpensive today.
But it is still fun to own a piece of gear that looks good and is nicely made.

Hi,

A new track from Infected Mushrooms, Release Me REBORN

Do you guys recognize what fantastic movie they have been inspired by? Listen to the lyrics… don’t be fooled by the picture which might be inspired by another movie?

Anyway, it seems like they have been picking teams from many of their well-known tracks over the years, hectic track!

Enjoy!

I’m still having issues with posting links… so let me try it again.  The organ should reverberate the entire room… it may not be audiophile quality, but it’s a fun track to listen to.

As a follow up, I received the CD of Vail Johnson, “Flow” it is  very good just like his other stuff. I was lucky as for some reason it is hard to find. Also, you should check out the album “Your Move” from Gerald Veasley. This is another great one with heavy bass playing. If not anything else, check out the song “traveling light” of his and turn up the volume, you won’t be disappointed.

I Don’t Care Anymore by Phil Collins from Hello I Must Be Going.  The drums move across from left to right and sound like they’re behind the 1723 towers.  Droned and Hand in Hand from Face Value are also great instrumentals.  Great dynamics on his first couple of solo albums.  Fun rediscovering music that sounds different with new upgraded equipment.

You have me thinking about these songs from Phil Collins. Imagine his music being produced now with the great audio recording/reproducing technology (if of course it was recorded properly) we have these days compared to that time period. Not that they are not good. Happy listening!

Neil yes the technology now is amazing.  The good thing is that music that was well recorded back in the day can be remastered and in some cases even remixed and sound amazing.  The Steve Wilson remixes of old Jethro Tull and Yes is a prime example.  The new super deluxe edition of the Yes album sounds fantastic.  The way Steve Howe’s guitar bounces back and forth during Yours is No Disgrace is a treat.  Everything old can be new again and sound better than ever!
