I would entertain the idea of a wider center.
Been thinking about feedback on a larger center speaker. Something like the 1723 thx tower configured with the wave guide centered. Would I pay $2000 usd for it, yes. I love my 1723 thx center. Does a great job, great, with movies. Beyond movies, I have been watching music videos and listening to all the great spacial audio music and sports. The full size tower is just better for music (.). I think the current center is large, if customers have room for it, the larger center is not a terrible stretch. Especially for those who have a dedicated room. Sign me up for one when it’s available. Even for movies, the center speaker is critical.
To be honest… if I had a larger room with an AT screen with plenty of space behind it, I’m not sure if I would consider a larger center than the 1723. I’m pretty sure that three 1723 monitors behind an AT screen would be more than enough as LCR.
Yes I would pay for a center with more output bigger is better!
