The room is 7 meters long and 4 meters wide, but the listening position is 4×4.
I still have to rebuild the living room. The listening position is not optimal, but with a good setup in the receiver and the help of EQ, everything is great. When the room is done i will have a perfect Dolby 5.1.2 setup. The TV is in a corner, and my listening position is directly in front, so I had to move around the speakers to create a good sound. It’s far from perfect, but I’m pleased until the room is ready. I use it for both music & movies, I have 2 separate configs on my receiver for this.
What was your goal when looking for new speakers and subwoofers?
Complete speakers for a 5.1.2 setup, and the subwoofer was the first part that I bought.
My previous setup was VERY basic and a real beginner step-in surround set, and I wanted premium sound now.
WHERE DID YOU HEAR ABOUT US?
While searching for equipment using Google.
I had to buy a new receiver because my old one died, but for a period of time I saved money to greatly improve my cheap beginner speakers. I started with the subwoofer replacement, I checked the internet for brands and types, and because of a YouTube review I heard about Arendal.

Because of the reviews on the internet, reading and comparing the specifications and quality is very important for me.
The reviews were VERY positive about build and sound quality, so I checked some more reviews and compared these with other brands. I also emailed a lot with support for questions; they were very fast with answers and helped me a lot, and this gave me confidence. And of course, a 10-year warranty, and to be able to try first.
YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCTS?
Just great. Every single day when I’m using it i’m enjoying it as on the first day I had it. Watching a movie with surround and especially with Atmos is awesome, and music is also fantastic. I can sit for hours listening to music, really enjoyable. Design is great and fits in the room, very happy.
WHAT ELSE DOES YOUR SYSTEM CONSIST OF?
In the living room have a Yamaha RX-A4A surround receiver, a Pioneer turntable, a vintage Technics CD player, and a vintage Technics Equalizer. I just bought 2 vintage tape decks, Akai & Denon.
In my mancave attic i also have an Onkyo receiver connected to my PC with Monitor Audio speakers and a SVS subwoofer, a Pioneer turntable, another Technics Equalizer, and a big 25 kg vintage Philips N4520 reel to reel. In the future, I want to replace my 1961 sub for a 1723 so I can use an app to configure.
HOW HAPPY ARE YOU WITH ARENDAL SOUND PRODUCTS?
Still as happy like on day 1. With every speaker(set) I replaced, a real quality boost happened. Watching a movie or listening to music is a real HAPPENING now. Never enjoyed a product like this more after this upgrade.

Don’t doubt if any of these speakers will sound good in your room. It will! The build quality is really one of its kind, and I’m still as happy as a kid in a candy store.
