My room is currently set up in an 7 channel setup with 4 Atmos ceiling speakers for a total of 11 channels. The bass is very good from the 1723 THX speakers without a subwoofer, but my ultimate plan is to add at least 2 subs. I also upgraded my television to a 98 inch from an 83 Oled.
WHAT WAS YOUR GOAL WHEN LOOKING FOR NEW SPEAKERS AND SUBWOOFERS?
I purchased my Arendal speakers because I was looking to move away from my Definitive Technology bipolar speakers in order to gain a more focused sound for Dolby Atmos. The Def Tech speakers served me well, but did not give the most directional sound for listening to Atmos movies.

I first heard about Arendal Sound when I started to think about purchasing a new surround system. I did a lot of research using the AVS forum and YouTube reviews. The AVS forum and YouTube videos spoke very highly of the Arendal speakers.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE ARENDAL SOUND?
Arendal makes a very high-quality speaker at a reasonable price. When you cut out the midleman I feel that you are getting a lot more for your money by buying direct from the manufacturer.
YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCTS?
My experience with the products thus far has been outstanding. I had a Dirac room correction done, and the 1723 speakers area night and day difference between my old Def Tech speakers.
The sound during movies places you dead center in the action, and the speakers convey the fine details of the soundtrack that I had never heard previously. Especially when listening to Kalidescape or disc sources that are not compressed.
WHAT ELSE DOES YOUR SYSTEM CONSIST OF?
I am running a Denon x4800h receiver along with an Emotiva 5-channel power amplifier to power the 5 main channels at 300 watts RMS per channel. I also utilize an Oppo 203 Blu-ray player as well as a Kaleidescape Strato V, so my system can get the best audio possible. It is quite a noticeable improvement when using the Oppo or Kalidescape rather than a streaming service, which does compress the audio quite a bit.
How happy are you with Arendal Sound products?
I am very pleased with my purchase of the Arendal 1723 THX speakers and can only imagine how much more a couple of subwoofers will add. I do think I could get by without the subs; however, I feel I have went this far and might as well take the next step.
