HOW IS YOUR ROOM SET UP?

13 x 15 dedicated home theater. Approximately 10 feet distance from the LCR speakers. Equipment is located in a separate room. Three seats, optimized for the primary listening position.

The system is used 80/20 movies to music.

What was your goal when looking for new speakers and subwoofers?

Quality, design aesthetics, and transparent pricing.

WHERE DID YOU HEAR ABOUT US?

I first heard about Arendal subwoofers several years back on Audioholics. More recently, when considering redoing my home theater, I came across reviews on the 1528 series on YouTube (Jay), SoundStage.com, and other online sources.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE ARENDAL SOUND?

I liked that there was no markup associated with typical retail and distribution channels. The build quality and minimalist styling appealed to me. I liked the dynamic capabilities and the overengineering of the speaker cabinets. The warranty also provided assurance that Arendal believed in the build quality over the long term.

YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCTS?

It’s been about a year, and the best compliment I can give is that for the first time in a long time, I have had no desire to change anything.

Whether it’s movies or music, I don’t really think about the speakers and just enjoy the immersive experience it provides. That’s a testament to the fact that the transparent and dynamic capabilities of the speakers help them get out of the way.

HOW HAPPY ARE YOU WITH ARENDAL SOUND PRODUCTS?

It’s provided a really enjoyable movie and music experience. In some ways, it made the hobby boring since I’m not looking to change anything anymore.

The only upgrade I’m considering is replacing the SVS subs with Arendal subs in the matching basalt finish. The fear of having to carry the super-heavy subwoofers up and down the stairs has helped me not rush into this upgrade.

Anything else you’d like to share?

The speakers are really impressive and carry minimal risk with the free trial and warranty.

The only caution I would give is that no matter how big you anticipate the speaker is in real life, it’s probably going to be even bigger when you actually receive them.
