HOW IS YOUR ROOM SET UP?

I have an open floor plan, which includes a family room, dining area, and kitchen for a footprint of 30×30. My 1723 towers are 8 feet apart, and my listening position is 8 feet from each speaker.

What was your goal when looking for new speakers and subwoofers?

I had a budget between $3-$4,000. I reviewed probably 30-40 speakers in that price range. Arendals consistently were the best speakers in that range competing with speakers on dynamics, sound stage and clarity that were twice as expensive.

WHERE DID YOU HEAR ABOUT US?

I initially became acquainted with Arendal researching speaker reviews on YouTube. All the reviews I saw on the Arendal 1723’s were impressive. They were also very impressed with their customer service support and warranty.

Jay Iyagi, James and Gene from Audioholics had great reviews on these speakers that convinced me that these were the speakers for me. I trust their unbiased opinions.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE ARENDAL SOUND?

Arendals scored very well in every category that was important to me. I have been very impressed with the clarity and bass tightness. Very satisfied.

The top speaker contenders were the KEF LS 60 active, MoFi 888, and the Fyne Audio 703. All these speakers are rated excellent for their price-performance, just not quite as good as the 1723s.

My first impression of these speakers was the large sound stage and dynamic clarity they offer. I prefer the paper cone woofer sound to metal woofers. Another important factor is the use of high-quality parts for such a modestly priced speaker.

YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCTS?

I don’t really have any speakers to compare these to since I am new to 2-channel listening. I like to listen to a variety of genres of music, but my favorite is classical music. With my current rig, which is just a vintage Denton AVR, I’m not getting the full experience that these speakers have to offer. What I am getting is deep bass and a good overall balance in the midrange and highs. I’m hoping that a new integrated Amp will improve the clarity and dynamic performance.

To summarize my thoughts on these speaker, I think they are a great choice for starting a 2-channel system with opportunities to improve their sound with better quality components.

WHAT ELSE DOES YOUR SYSTEM CONSIST OF?

I currently have Auris BluMe Pro WiFi connected to my Denon AVR, which puts out 75 watts per channel. I just stream from my phone through the Auris.

HOW HAPPY ARE YOU WITH ARENDAL SOUND PRODUCTS?

I’m looking forward to many years of listening and enjoying varying genres of music.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU’D LIKE TO SHARE?

I purchased my speakers 3 years ago. I would like to upgrade to a more robust integrated amp/streamer/DAC to get the potential this speaker can provide.
