Hans Erik’s Arendal Sound Experience

My home theater room is newly renovated and purpose-built from the ground up. I tore it down to the studs, re-wired it for speakers and signals, and installed pre-placed studs for mounting. I finished it all off with double drywall for extra sound isolation. Now, with dimensions of 4.75m x 4.25m, the room is roughly 20 square meters—a comfortable setup for a full 7.4.4 Arendal 1723 THX system. I recently added carpets, acoustic treatments for optimized sound, new electrically reclining seats, and NorStone racks for my equipment and center speaker, making this room a true audio sanctuary. 

I first learned about Arendal Sound from a review on Audioholics’ YouTube channel in July 2021. Gene’s insight into audio equipment gave me confidence in Arendal, so I dug deeper and found nothing but positive feedback. People spoke about the impeccable audio quality and tank-like build. By the time I made my purchase, I was excited to experience it all firsthand.  

The moment I unboxed my Arendal speakers, I felt I’d made the right choice. The packaging alone shows a commitment to quality, with each speaker securely placed in the box and surrounded by protective Styrofoam. I’ve never seen another brand package their products as thoughtfully. And then, when I finally played the speakers, I understood just how exceptional they really are — and this was before they were fully broken in and before I’d even finished treating the room acoustically.
