The 1723 Tower S is a downscaled version of the 1723 Tower. It features a completely custom built 2.5-way lineup of mid-bass drivers and a waveguide tweeter you cannot find anywhere else. The materials, quality, drivers and crossover components are just the same as you would expect from any of the 1723 speakers. The only difference is smaller enclosure with 6.5” drivers in 1723 Tower S, instead of the 8” in the 1723 Tower. The sheer performance, level of detail and dynamics delivered by Tower S is unheard of in this price category. Expect the Tower S to be compared to much higher priced speakers on the market.
The 1723 Tower S is THX Ultra certified — engineered to meet the same strict standards for scale, accuracy, and headroom as our larger models. But with 6.5″ drivers and a reduced cabinet size, it’s better suited for rooms where space matters.
Its custom waveguide-loaded tweeter and 2.5-way driver layout create an immersive, detailed soundstage that excels with both movies and music. Only the top drivers handle the midrange, ensuring vocal clarity and imaging precision, while the lower drivers reinforce low-end weight and authority. And with flexible port tuning, you can tailor the bass to your space for full control over the final sound.
“What nevertheless impresses is the calm, relaxed and undaunted way it plays music, and that it still manages to render each and every hit of the drums and every single blow with palms and fingers.”
“1723 S Towers are a superb choice. These can play very loud without strain and prove that the THX badging is more than just a trademarked logo.”
“If you’re in the market for a pair of speakers at this price point, you’d be taking no risk auditioning the 1723 Tower S in your home.”
The 1723 Tower S isn’t just built to sound great in theory, it’s built to sound great in actual homes. Each cabinet is made from thick HDF, internally braced, and finished in hand-painted satin. No vinyl wraps, no shortcuts.
Compact enough for tighter setups, yet bold enough to anchor a serious system, the Tower S delivers full-scale performance in a smaller form. From the sculpted waveguide to the rock-solid base, it’s pure Norwegian precision from top to bottom.
The 1723 Tower S is a perfect match for the rest of the 1723 and 1723 S lineup — sharing the same tuning, drivers, and cabinet materials. Add a 1723 Center S for seamless front-stage clarity, 1723 Surround S or Height S for wraparound immersion, or a 1723 Subwoofer for bass to complete the picture.
Whatever your space, you can build a world-class system with a consistent, high-performance signature across every speaker.
The 1723 Tower S doesn’t just carry the THX Ultra badge — it earns it. Designed to meet the samestandards for clarity, output, and dynamic range as our larger models, it brings cinema-grade scale tosmaller rooms. And for music lovers? That same engineering delivers purity, precision, and presenceacross your favorite recordings. It’s not just about watching movies. It’s about hearing everything exactly as it was meant to be heard.

Frequency response does not reflect maximum output but shows its true response in a anechoic chamber. Typically you will see an elevated response in the bass response below 40Hz in room due to room gain, which can add around 6dB pr. octave under 40Hz depending on the size of your room.
The charts display frequency response measured at different angles, the sum of which is referred to as power response. Much scientific research has been undertaken on this subject and a linear power response has proven a substantial impact on the overall sound, because the frequency response is more even in all directions. This means an Arendal Sound speaker will be more tolerant of differences in room shape, size, construction and materials.
The impedance charts are electrical measurements of the loudspeaker’s resistance vs frequency.
