The 1723 Tower features a completely custom built 2.5 way lineup of bass drivers, mid bass drivers and waveguide tweeter you cannot find anywhere else. Our HDF cabinets, thick crossover PCBs and ancillary parts, feature engineering detail you will not find at anything like the price. You will find no plastic parts, even if we could have used them to keep costs down without affecting sound quality.
The 1723 Tower is THX Ultra certified — not just for the badge, but because it meets the strict standards for scale, accuracy, and headroom in demanding home theater environments.
The custom waveguide housing a 28mm soft dome tweeter and large driver array aren’t just about volume — they create a wide, immersive soundstage that stays detailed and natural, even at high output. Its 2.5-way crossover design ensures that only the drivers closest to your ears handle the midrange, keeping vocals and instrumentation focused while the others reinforce low-end authority.
And thanks to its sealed or ported flexibility and inert HDF cabinet, you get bass that’s clean, deep, and tightly controlled — tailored to your room, not the other way around.
“Combination of twin 1723 Tower THXs and a 1723 Center THX for the front sound stage plus two 1723 THX Surrounds alongside a top tier 1723 2V subwoofer delivers something really special.”
“Nothing else in this class can compare to the build quality, these are the best-built speakers. The whole speaker looks terrific from any angle.”
“By far, my first recommendation when it comes to this price range. And even above.”
The 1723 Tower doesn’t just sound powerful, it looks the part too. Every cabinet is constructed from high-density fiberboard (HDF), internally braced, and finished in satin paint that feels as solid as it sounds. Unlike standard MDF, HDF is denser, stronger, and more acoustically inert, helping reduce resonance, sharpen clarity, and support a premium finish that holds up over time.
From the sculpted waveguide to the clean magnetic grilles, every detail reflects our Norwegian approach to design: purposeful, precise, and built to last. Whether it takes pride of place in a dedicated theater or stands confidently in your living room, this is a speaker that belongs.
The 1723 Tower makes a powerful foundation for any high-performance setup — but it doesn’t have to stand alone. Pair it with the 1723 Center for seamless front-stage clarity, or add 1723 Surround speakers for full-scale immersion.
Want to feel the full impact? Add a 1723 Subwoofer. Whether it’s the ultra-precise 1S or the room-shaking 2V, each is built to match in output, dynamics, and design — for bass that doesn’t just keep up, but completes the experience.

“Awesome speakers! – Extremely enjoyable speakers for movies as part of a home cinema setup, but very good with most types of music as well”

“These speakers have the quality of speakers three times their cost”

“Awesome Speakers! Awesome Value! I’m Very Happy!”
Every 1723 Tower is independently tested and THX Ultra certified — a mark of confidence that it meets strict criteria for clarity, output, and dynamic range. Whether you’re listening at reference volume or at night-time levels, you’ll get balanced, consistent performance across your entire setup. Even if you’re a two-channel purist, that certification still matters — delivering transparency, dynamics, and detail that hold up way beyond home theater.

Frequency response does not reflect maximum output but shows its true response in a anechoic chamber. Typically you will see an elevated response in the bass response below 40Hz in room due to room gain, which can add around 6dB pr. octave under 40Hz depending on the size of your room.
The charts display frequency response measured at different angles, the sum of which is referred to as power response. Much scientific research has been undertaken on this subject and a linear power response has proven a substantial impact on the overall sound, because the frequency response is more even in all directions. This means an Arendal Sound speaker will be more tolerant of differences in room shape, size, construction and materials.
The impedance charts are electrical measurements of the loudspeaker’s resistance vs frequency.
