My room has a 5-foot archway leading into the kitchen, and I typically listen while seated in the middle of the room, approximately 13 feet away from the speakers.

WHAT WAS YOUR GOAL WHEN LOOKING FOR NEW SPEAKERS AND SUBWOOFERS?

My previous speakers lacked detailed midrange and bass extension for two-channel listening. I wanted full-range speakers that offered detailed highs without sounding too harsh, a prominent but not overbearing midrange, and bass you can really feel.

What initially caught my attention about the Arendal speakers was the midrange and tweeter performance highlighted in the SoundStage and Jay Iyagi reviews.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE ARENDAL SOUND?

I first became interested in Arendal after seeing their ads, which led me to start researching their speaker models. After comparing the options, I decided the 1528 Tower 8 checked all the boxes for what I was looking for.

I watched every review I could find across social media platforms and also reached out to one of Arendal’s ambassadors to get his feedback. What really sold me, though, was my experience with customer service. Miguel Rios emailed me back personally and even included his phone number. We had an extensive conversation about my goals, my room, and my existing system.

At the time, I had narrowed my choices down to the Legacy Focus XD and the Focal Kanta 3 after auditioning both. Miguel walked me through the benefits of the 1528s and how they would fit my needs. That conversation ultimately gave me the confidence to choose Arendal.

YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCTS?

The first thing I noticed was the build quality. The fit and finish were spot on. The only thing I could nitpick was the way the grilles fit. The speakers were packaged extremely well, ensuring no damage could occur during shipping.

When I played my first song, the music in my room came alive. The mids and highs were crisp without ever sounding harsh. The bass was so refined, and the presence hit me right in the chest. The soundstage was unlike anything I have experienced with the dozens of speakers I auditioned during my search for new speakers.

What stood out the most was the non-fatiguing sound these speakers have. I listened for about five hours after they were delivered, and I was amazed at how good they sounded in my room.

One of my favorite speakers I auditioned was the Focal Kanta 3, mainly because of its beryllium tweeter and non-fatiguing sound. But the 1528s excited me even more with their highs and mids. The bass was precise, something you could truly feel, and it had no comparison to the Focal’s lack of bass.

The Legacy speakers had the bass, but not the refinement of the 1528s’ mids and highs. The 1528s leave me elated every time I listen to them.

What surprised me most was how good the fit and finish felt, especially considering the product’s physical size and weight. It felt well-built and refined, while still being easier to handle than I expected.

• Amplifier: Advanced Paris X-P700 dual mono pre-amp, Advanced Paris X-A220 mono blocks (2 channel)
• Source devices: Bluesound Node Icon dual mono streamer (2 channel)
• Subwoofer: Definitive Technology Powerfield 1500TL (surround)
• Other: Cardas XLR cables (2 channel); Definitive Technology BP30, CL-1000 center channel, and BPX surround speakers (surround)
• Future upgrades: New subwoofers, followed by a new center channel speaker. Currently exploring whether the 1528s can be integrated into the surround system; if not, the next step will likely be upgrading the front speakers.

HOW HAPPY ARE YOU WITH ARENDAL SOUND PRODUCTS?

The 1528 Tower 8 speakers sound absolutely amazing. From the first listen, I was impressed by the clarity, detail, and overall presence they bring to the music. The sound feels full, balanced, and effortless, and in my opinion, the quality you get for the price is very hard to beat.

After spending the last year researching, listening, comparing, and auditioning different speakers, I can honestly say I feel like I finally found what I was looking for. Every time I get a chance to sit down and listen, it reminds me why I chose them. These may very well be my end game speakers.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU’D LIKE TO SHARE?

The biggest reason I want to become an ambassador is that it was really difficult to purchase speakers without being able to hear them first. I searched through the ambassador list hoping to find someone in my area who had the 1528 Tower 8 speakers available for an audition, but there was no one even close by.

I would really like the opportunity to help others experience Arendal speakers the way I have, and make it easier for people in my area to hear them before making such an important purchase.
