HOW IS YOUR ROOM SET UP?

30 square meters with a height of 2.5 meters. Almost square shape.

The main listening position is 3.5 meters from each front speaker, and the distance between the Tower 8 speakers is 3.5 meters.

This is now a dedicated multichannel room. The system is configured as a 6.2.4 setup.

What was your goal when looking for new speakers and subwoofers?

High quality and reasonable price. No fuzz products.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE ARENDAL SOUND?

My first product, a 1723 2S sub, blew me away. Since then I’ve been curious about the other products.

The main reason for choosing Arendal is price vs. sound quality. Prices have increased so much for high-end speakers that I don’t want to spend the kind of money many brands demand. Even though I can, I just won’t. Arendal gives me the sound quality I want for a price I’m willing to pay.

YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCTS?

My first experience with Arendal started in 2021 with a 1723 2S sub in my home theater setup. The performance just blew me away, and since then I’ve been a fan.

The next product was a second sub, a 1723 1S. I was happy with that until I moved my multichannel setup to a bigger and dedicated room in the fall of 2025.

I wanted to try more Arendal speakers and started with four 1723 Height S in the ceiling (combined with B&W 800 series speakers on the floor). The build quality and performance compared to price were impressive once more.

The 1528 series started to intrigue me, and I opted to audition a pair of Slim 8s to replace B&W 805D. The Slim 8s almost shocked me with the sound quality they can deliver. I knew they were good, but not this good.

Since then, I’ve acquired the Tower 8s. What a show of strength that speaker is! And just before writing this, I ordered a pair of Bookshelf 8s. That completes my 6.2.4 setup for now. The next in line will probably be a 1528 Center 8. Since my main interest is music in surround and immersive formats, I’m very happy with a phantom center.

I’m really looking forward to hooking up the Bookshelf 8s when they arrive. Hopefully, Arendal will exceed expectations once more. I hope and believe some immersive audio magic will happen when every speaker I have is from Arendal.
