1723 Subwoofer 1.5

Legacy product

The Subwoofer 1.5 shares all of the same high-quality components, design, and build-up as our award-winning subwoofers in the 1723 Series. Subwoofer 1.5 is simply a Subwoofer 1 on steroids. Same driver. Same amplifier with unique DSP tuning. HDF enclosure, but with a high-precision slot port. It’s just scaled differently to offer another solution for our customers. Subwoofer 1.5 is equipped with a 13.8” driver and the Avalanche 500W amp with its massive power supply. The enclosure is big and ported, which can also be sealed for those who want the edge in extra dynamics over sheer depth. Subwoofer 1.5 can deliver massive performances in movies, with real attention to detail and nuance in music. Movies or music. Perfect for both.

Professional reviews

Arendal has delivered another Highlight for home cinema enthusiasts with its 1723 Monitor S THX system. Being only marginally less dynamical than the bigger “sister models”, the Monitor S system plays with extreme precision and can also show off with a THX license.

HiFi Vision

The brand Arendal already caused quite a furore with the 1723 system back in summer 2017. Now they raise the stakes presenting the 1723 Monitor S, an equally powerful speaker set including THX certificate, but in a more compact package.

HiFi Test

We can honestly say that Arendal's 1723 S truly is one of the most convincing home theater speaker systems in its price class.

Frequency response

Frequency response does not reflect maximum output but shows its true response in a anechoic chamber. Typically you will see an elevated response in the bass response below 40Hz in room due to room gain, which can add around 6dB pr. octave under 40Hz depending on the size of your room.

Product compliance

CB Scheme is an international system for mutual acceptance of test reports and certificates dealing with the safety of electrical and electronic components, equipment, and products. It assures that electrical and electronic products match the strictest levels of safety and performance following the IEC standard.

RoHS is an abbreviation for “Restriction of (the use of certain) Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic Equipment”. This directive restricts the use of ten hazardous materials in the manufacture of various types of electronic and electrical equipment. It is closely linked with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) 2002/96/EC which sets collection, recycling and recovery targets for electrical goods and is part of a legislative initiative to solve the problem of huge amounts of toxic electronic waste.
FCC mark is a voluntary mark employed on electronic products manufactured or sold in the United States which indicates that the electromagnetic radiation from the device is below the limits specified by the Federal Communications Commission and the manufacturer has followed the requirements of the Supplier's Declaration of Conformity authorization procedures.
