I built a dedicated theater in my basement from scratch. I put a lot of time and effort into soundproofing as I wanted to be able to enjoy the theater at normal listening volumes any time day or night without disturbing the family or neighbors.
The room is 22.5’L x 12’W x 7’H. The 110” 16:9 screen is acoustically transparent with 2.5’ behind the screen for the LCR and one of the subs. In total, it is a 7.2.4 full Arendal system.
WHAT WAS YOUR GOAL WHEN LOOKING FOR NEW SPEAKERS AND SUBWOOFERS?
I was looking to go with one brand for the whole system, so the fact that Arendal has speakers designed for each purpose in a theater, including angled baffled height speakers, made these the right fit.

I think I first heard about Arendal from Audioholics and was happy to see the very positive reviews and measurements. Then some Youtubers got their hands on the products, I think Shane Lee, Villa Man, etc., and everyone seemed to praise Arendal stuff across the board.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE ARENDAL SOUND?
I was looking for products that focused on engineering quality and performance. The fact that Arendal publishes real measurements on the website combined with the obvious attention to build quality and use of HDF material was the main draw for me. Also, I was looking to go with one brand for the whole system, so the fact that Arendal has speakers designed for each purpose in a theater, including angled baffled height speakers, made these the right fit. Lastly, high-performance subwoofers with app control sealed the deal for me.
YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCTS?
The experience has been great, they have lived up to all the expectations I had and more. They are transparent, produce high output with low distortion, look great with the black satin finish, and don’t break the bank providing a high value for the price.
