HOW IS YOUR ROOM SET UP?

My room is a dedicated home theater behind a hidden bookcase. It is not the biggest room at 17ft long, 12.5ft wide, but it does have 10ft ceilings, which really helps with the feel and Atmos tracks. The front 3 seats are from Valencia, and the MLP is approximately 10ft from the towers. I primarily use the room for watching movies, but more and more I like listening to 2ch music!

WHAT WAS YOUR GOAL WHEN LOOKING FOR NEW SPEAKERS AND SUBWOOFERS?

My previous speakers were great, but they lacked dynamics and didn’t envelope me during movies. My goal when I started looking for new speakers was to find speakers that excelled at both home theater and 2ch music. I really wanted speakers that could dig deep and started focusing on ones that were considered “full-range.” Because I wanted speakers that could do both multi and 2ch, it was extremely important that the center and surrounds would be able to keep up with the mains.

I first heard about Arendal speakers on avsforum.com and was impressed by the amount of word-of-mouth advertising they received. So many people raved about them that they became hard to ignore.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE ARENDAL SOUND?

I chose to go with Arendal Sound because they won during my listening tests, plain and simple. I bought a complete 7x speaker setup from a competitor and put them head to head. With the amount of investment required, I didn’t want to buy without multiple weeks of listening and movie watching, being sure to include my whole family to be sure I was making the right decision. I did!

YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCTS?

The Arendal Sound 1528 series is undeniably impressive. The quality of the cabinets, the solid feel, hi-end backplate, and the beautiful drivers. What stood out to me the most is the weight, which speaks to overall build quality.

The most surprising thing about the 1528s is how loud I now turn movies and music up. Louder doesn’t feel or sound louder, it just sounds better. Of course, there are limits, but those limits are mine, not the speakers. Clarity and authority are what you get when the dial is turned up, but even at low volume, they sound impactful and full.

I am in awe of the experiences I’ve had with both music and movies with my 1528 setup, it has truly exceeded my expectations and blows my mind every time!
