1723 MAGNETIC METAL GRILLS

We are especially proud of our new exclusive and fully custom made grills. For all Arendal Sound speakers we have made a free flowing, perforated metal grill which does not affect sound quality.

1961 12.2″ WOOFER

Every part of this driver has been thoroughly engineered, Klippel and FEA analysed and customized to deliver high output, low distortion, accurate bass. Designed to get the typical explosive, hard hitting dynamics, precision control and bass definition required to resolve the finest details of music that Arendal Sound is known for from the 1723 Series.

THE PUCK

We have customized a new slick puck-design mounted with M6 bolts. They create extreme stability against the floor. Branded with the Arendal Sound logo.

1961 PREMIUM FINISH

1961 Series comes in high quality paint finish and hand buffed. We offer black and white texture matte finishes. Premium finish you would expect from a premium product. No vinyl.

Why 13.8”? The 25% larger surface area, when compared to a 12” driver, yields a woofer that requires less excursion and power to achieve the same SPL levels. The result is lower distortion, higher power handling and most importantly - tighter bass. Every part for this driver has been custom tooled to deliver high output, low distortion, accurate bass.

We took a look at what spikes actually do and then applied straight-forward, uncompromising engineering to deliver an effective, attractive solution that doesn’t cost the earth.

1961 PREMIUM BUILD QUALITY

Even for our 1961 series we opted with HDF (High Density Fiberboards) cabinets over conventional MDF (Medium Density Fiberboards). The reason being a much stiffer cabinet which improves dynamics and sound quality. Premium finishes, no vinyl. New designed puck design rubber feet with Arendal Sound logo engraved. 1961 is built on premium level.

1961 ENCLOSURE TUNING

All 1961 speaker enclosures are designed for optimal sound quality and are based on sealed low-Q designs that provide excellent transient response and dynamics. 1961 Tower also have a high capacity slot port to improve performance and deeper bass.

1961 SPEAKER INPUT POSTS

1961 is our Entry Level Series yet Premium details and performance. No plastic cups on the 1961 speakers, quality aluminum panels with solid speaker terminals.

1961 TRI-AXIAL 3D SOUND STAGE

Surround speakers has never been the same after Tri-Axial designs from Arendal Sound came to market. Best solution of directivity and dipole design creates big and wide, yet detailed and directive soundstage. It makes a big difference in your system.

1723 PREMIUM BUILD QUALITY

Higher density and naturally better damped than MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard), using HDF (High Density Fiberboard) results in a sonically inert cabinet. We use no plastic parts.

1961 MAGNETIC GRILLS

We did not cheap out on looks. Cheap plastic pins did not feel right. We custom designed and tooled our own grills including neodymium magnets in both the cabinets and grills, with a protective rubber surface to avoid scratches. 1961 Tower comes with two-piece grills.

Crossover design is a culmination of model, measure, listen, remodel, remeasure, re-listen, all while refining performance in increasingly small steps.

To deliver an all-enveloping surround field and assist in peerless surround steering, we fitted two (2) 4” custom built dipolar drivers to the angled side baffles into our TriAxial speaker crossed at 200Hz.
